La Belle Ville de Quebec and especially Upper Town (within the
ancient city fortifications and within the UNESCO World Heritage Site) is the perfect "walking town".
Narrow one-way streets invite wandering and many streets within the neighborhood surrounding la Maison Ursulines are closed
to traffic, making a leisurely walking tour and exploration that much more convenient. . In addition, the Old City's electric "Ecolobus" system makes it easy to explore
more of the Old City without the hassle of finding that always elusive parking spot. (See neighborhood map below for
"Ecolobus" routes.) Best of all, the little electric bus system is very quite, free of pollution, operates
from early morning through very late into the night, and is available to everyone for only $1.00 ...every town should have
this!
