April 2012 Dear
Paul, Thank you so much! Jim and I had a magical time! The residence was so warm and comfortable and the old city was
definitely the right place for our 35th anniversary celebration! We
ate at Conti twice and had our 35th dinner at Le Champlain which was a once in a lifetime event!!!! It was very beautiful,
extremely elegant and outrageously expensive - but worth every penny! The
student demonstrations were going on in the city while we were there which was very exciting and we took two carriage rides
while we were there - both with Phillip who showed us both the city and an excellent time! We will certainly be back, and thank you once again for making your home available to us! Love, Suzy ______
March 2012 Do we have to leave already?? La Maison is in a perfect location - we would sight-see all day then come
back and warm up and relax, then head out again for the evening. Crashed Ice was fantastic and only steps from the front door! La Maison was clean, comfortable, warm, and we
had everything we needed. There are endless possibilities for things to do and see, we can't wait to come again. We also
enjoyed Portofino, the Hobbit Bistro on Rue Saint Jean, and of course Paillard. Merci, Your Friends, The R's
______
February 2012 We had a most Fantastic Stay in Quebec! Everything was wonderful. Hope to return soon ... Ed &

______
February 2012 We had a very comfortable and exciting stay. The residence is very impressive, comfortable, and beautifully
decorated. We will definitely keep this in mind when planning our next trip to Quebec! Thanks, Andrew
______
January 2012 Merci for an absolutely wonderful stay in Quebec! Your
house is perfect-great location, beautifully appointed, warm, friendly and inviting. Many of us have been to Quebec before and we will be back to experience
this charming city! If you are new to the Carnival,
take in ALL the festivities, drink some Cariboou, ride the toboggan, eat some poutine, have a snowball fight, and revel in
the snowy delights of the Old Quebec! Thank
you for your hospitality! Fondly, Maria & Drake, Sherri & Michael, Mick & Margaret from Massachusetts! :) ______
January 2012 The temperature in Quebec City was very cold, but it was nice to know we had
a great place to warm up at and cozy up in a blanket with a hot chocolate. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and appreciated
the warm welcome from Carol. The food at numerous establishments
such as Portifinos, le Conti and the crepery on St.Jeans was amazing. One
of our favorite things that we did was the ferry to Levis and back, just to view the Old City from the water. Awesome view,
fantastic residence ...Loved our stay, Linda, Joshua, Kim and Megan ______
December 2011 Throughly enjoyed our stay in this wonderful residence and will certainly recommend it
to family and friends. We found that every meal was lovely, but especially enjoyed the St. Patrick's pub (open fire I've place downstairs) and Portifino. We walked and walked. A few points. Winter hours for the museum at the Citadel is from 1:30 pm. You
cannot explore on your own. Museé du Fort is closed for the winter. You can visit the parliament with a guide
but must present photo id.
The Museé d'Ursalines
is well worth it particularly if you have been taught by Nuns. You cannot visit the chapel in the winter but there is
mass at 4:45 everyday and you can see the chapel that way. We love Quebec, Pauline, Michael, Josh and Madeline (Australia)
______
December 2011 Being at the House of Ursulines, so close to their
chapel, engendered a sense of belonging that is different for a visitor to achieve. The charm of the old city mixed with the sense of belonging made our visit here-especially at this
time of year- magical-truly magical. Thank you. Scott, Mike, Janette and Linda ______
November 2011 Dear Cindy and Paul, We had a grand time at your lovely home. Thank you again! We have told all
of our friends that if they go to Quebec renting la Maison Ursulines is the way to go. Best, Susan
October, 2011 Paul, After our stay in Quebec City, we went on a 2 week cruise ending in Ft. Lauderdale.
Now that were back and somewhat settled I wanted to thank you and let you know how much my wife and I enjoyed your home. It was beautiful, comfortable and in a perfect location. I met the
couple who care for the property and they were great and incredibly accommodating. We didn't arrive until after 2:00 a:m due
to flight delays etc.but we were in touch with Ed and Carol who insisted we call after we get in regardless of the late hour
just so they knew we arrived and were able to get into the house without any problems. Their concern and interest in looking
out for us was unbelievable and greatly appreciated. We
experienced unseasonably mild weather and fall colors in addition to the charm of the Old City and your home. It
was great and I just wanted to drop a note to let you know how much we enjoyed our visit. The next time we or friends head
to Quebec City, Maison Ursuline will be the place to stay. Thanks again. Best regards, BNA ______
October, 2011 What a beautifully appointed home: gorgeous antiques and soooo comfortable. It was a pleasure
to stay here. Go to 12 Petite Champlain which is the Marie Clarisse Restaurant. Have bouilliabaise (sp?). Thank you for
sharing your home. The Attermanns , Florida ______
July 2011 Quebec is a beautiful city! We loved walking around the old cobblestone streets, but our legs certainly
got a workout on those steps! La Maison Ursulines was a great place to call home for our stay! Thank you for opening up
this residence for us to call our home. Our number
one food suggestion-eat at L'Echaude! Fantastic! J'taime Quebec! Kathy, Peter, Kristin and Jessica. New York (Hit
the marche! Awesome taswty treats :) ______
July, 2011 We feel so fortunate to have such a wonderful Brownstone in Old Quebec. The location was
beyond fantastic. Coming from Dallas, Texas where a car is a daily necessity, it was so refreshing to be able to simply walk
to all the top sites in Old Quebec. We enjoyed
our stay immensely! Ed and Carol were extremely helpful and kind to us. Thank you for this opportunity to enjoy Quebec.
We loved everything! Scot, Suzanne, Sarah (15) and Mattew (12) ______
Cindy & Paul We enjoyed your beautiful home and city for an entire week. The accommodations
were deluxe! Highlights of our stay were a delicious gourmet meal prepared
in la Maison Ursulines' kitchen by Pierre-Paul and served by James, and a guided tour by Ed of the Island D'Orleans.
A guided walking food tour was also a hit. Everything
was so great this trip. We were so well located. Ed and Carol were very gracious and the catered in dinner by
Pierre-Paul and James is highly recommended. Thanks so much for a wonderful vacation. Greg, Nancy, Tom and Pat ______
We felt like "Belle" in Beauty and the Beast-in
a fairy tale City and a home that made us feel like "La Petite Princess!" Thank you for the dream. Rachael,
Danielle and Janice ______
Hi Paul, I cannot say enough good things
about our stay at la Maison Ursulines last week, and have been trumpeting our good fortune for having discovered la Maison
to all of our friends since returning. To start with - your home is incredibly welcoming and comfortable. We felt
very much "at home", as compared to the sterile, anonymity of a hotel room. The furnishings were very comfortable
and the antiques and artwork, etc. contributed to the overall elegance. Location, as with most real estate, is certainly the key. To be able to leave the apartment
and be right in the middle of everything that old Quebec has to offer was wonderful. But, on the same hand, their was
none of the "hustle, bustle" of typical big cities - the neighborhood was quiet and serene. It was our first
trip to Quebec and our party enjoyed the beauty and history of the city. The weather even cooperated. Also, Ed and Carol Sweeney were delightful hosts - gave us lots
of good ideas about restaurants, etc. - and were very helpful and accommodating. All in all, it was a wonderful vacation. I would not hesitate to come again (possibly
in a different season) and would recommend la Maison without hesitation. Richard ______
How terrific was our stay at la Maison Ursulines? Well,
in spite of some fairly strong rain every day except our last, we (including Karlye's 88 year old mother) just loved the house;
and we absolutely adored Quebec. Old Quebec seemed to have more helpful residents and business people per city block than
any other place we've been. Perhaps, it's from living and working in such a thoroughly beautiful place. The location of the house simply couldn't be more convenient to the
tourist center; however, it was completely quiet, not at all noisy during our stay. We found the neighbor hood loaded
with so many good places to eat (hard to choose with only a few nights' stay), and even had the convenience of a small grocery
just a few doors away. We were in awe of the amount
of work it must have taken to modernize the house; and yet, the house retains so much charm. Indeed, we do hope to return,
perhaps during another season. At that time, we hope you two will still let others share in the experience of staying at la
Maison Ursulines. Karlye and Vel ______
We wanted
to drop a line and thank you for the chance to stay at your lovely home. Carol and Ed were wonderful, the house was
beautifully prepared for us and we truly had all of the comforts of home. The house could not be in a more perfect location. Quebec
is a wonderful place to visit and we hope to be able to return soon. Our stay in la Maison Ursulines made the whole
experience that much nicer. Thank you
again, David and
Susan C. ______
What a slice of heaven you've found and cultivated here in Old Quebec! It was a perfect
place from which to explore the city and reagon. Carol, you are the best of hosts ...your greeting generous and welcoming,
including a jaunt to the grocery store for sustenance food. Experiences include: walking
the boardwalk from the Citadel to the Chateau ...spectacular views! Museum next to the Tourist Information Center (two
blocks away), Ghost Tour and Montmorency Falls. Thank
you for sharing la Maison Ursulines with us, it was the pinnacle of our Quebec adventure. Doug, Cy, Brad & Linda ____
Paul, I
just wanted to let you know we had a great time at la Maison Ursulines last week. I even got married there
Friday afternoon. We've posted our photos on Facebook, and several people have already asked me about the residence
(in terms of their being able to rent it themselves). It is a great place in a perfect location -- as you know!
Sincerely, Damian
We had a fabulous time in Quebec. We loved you home. It was perfect
for our every need. We all are recommending to our family and friends that they plan a trip to Quebec and to definitely consider
staying at La Maison Ursulines. We would love to go back to Quebec in the future and would certainly want to stay at your
home. Thank you for all your helpful information on Quebec is was an invaluable tool for planning our outings. ____
Paul, Your home is every bit as beautiful as the photos on the website. It has welcomed us to Quebec and we
are enjoying this great home base to see the wonderful city of Quebec. What a jewel of a city. Today, the city hosted an international
bicycle race throughout the many winding roads. The town is bustling with many tourists. We are amazed at the number and selection
of restaurants and art galleries here. We will be going whale watching on Monday and hope to attend a concert in the Plains
of Abraham on Weds. Thanks for sharing your fantastic home with us. Best Regards and Thanks, Rob and Janet ______ “Good girls go to heaven …bad girls go to Quebec!” Thus
begins the saga of the fabulous Houns girls and their saga! What a glorious way to celebrate my 78th birthday with my two
daughters. From the beginning to the end, we had a wonderful and a delightfully fun time. We took in ALL the sights, the wonderful
cuisine, got “hit on” by the suave Frenchmen we encountered and this was a major thrill at my lofty age. We highly
recommend the high tea at the Chateau Frontnac (one of our few refined moments, but so much fun!) The apartment is spectacular,
so beautiful and with every convenience, as well as very accessible. With my heritage of my grandparents being natives of
Quebec, I felt a great sense of deja-vux as well as a sense of “belonging” here. It was a moving experience for
all of us. We will tell our friends about this beautiful apartment and hope to return in the near future. Merce beaucoup! _____ Great house! Excellent location! Old Quebec is a beautiful city and especially nice to walk everywhere and
not bother with the car. We dined at some fabulous restaurants: Café de la Paix (44 rue desJardins), Pain Beni (our
favorite) at 34 rue Ste Anne, Aux Anciens Canadiens (34 rue Ste Louis). This has been a good time of year to visit …no
crowds, good cool weather. Thank you for sharing your home. Rosy _____ What a perfect place to spend
Christmas! We attended a beautiful Christmas Eve service at the Holy Trinity Church down the street, followed by Christmas
Day (with a Christmas tree and presents) and a long walk on a beautiful snowy night. The condo is truly superior to other
properties where we’ve stayed. We found the location to be ideal with a small store two doors down and great places
to eat everywhere. We probably gained 10 lbs. Each. We also enjoyed eating Christmas dinner on the fine china in the condo.
Thank you again for a very memorable time. We hope to return for a summer in Quebec. Stewart, Katy & Evan _____ What
a beautiful place. Growing up in Alberta, I never imagined there was such a wonderful, unique place right within Canada! So
different from the Rocky Mountains! Loved the condo. It added a great sense of Old Quebec history, by being able to stay in
such a grand place. It was so convenient to be able to stay so close to the neat boutiques and restaurants. You have definitely
added to the amazing memories that I will have for years to come. Kim _____ What a spot! Easy walking
to sights, food and shopping. Who can argue the comfort, charm and size of this condo? Not us. We loved every minute of our
week-end in Quebec City!! Karen & Peter _____ We have fallen in love with Quebec and this lovely oasis. What a special
combination. We definitely will be back, hopefully to this wonderful place on desJardins. Once you figure out a few streets
the Old City is easy to drive in. Aux Ancients Canadians, What a bargain, but make reservations! Loved the crepe place. Thanks
for all of your tips, best to you and your family. Thanks you for a wonderful visit. Joe & Ruth _____ | Thank
you for a fantastic vacation in a beautiful setting. Everyone loved exploring Quebec in winter time, and the skiers in our
group thought Mt. Ste Anne and le Massif offer the best east coast skiing we’ve seen. The perfect non skiing spouse
ski trip. Hope well be back. The Steins _____ After a week in the country near Mont Tremblant Québec city was
the perfect counter point. We wondered thru all the narrow streets and really enjoyed the city many offerings make sure you
check out all of battlefield park. Great hiking and beautiful gardens. Every morning we the run down the hill to rue Ste Josephs
to the boitau pain for croissants and our bread. Excellent a la France. We have been busy since we arrived. The ile d Orleans
was charming and most quaint well worth the ride over there. To Paul and Cindy, thank you for providing us with all the comforts
of home. The library here is quite extensive and provides much entertainment with a large variety of reading . My only regret
is that I was too busy enjoying the sights of this beautiful and historic city. We had many good laughs and relaxed doing
the tourist thing. I will be back this is my 4th visit to this special place and I still have many sights to explore
good night and god bless you all and Peace. Jonas, Gills, Maureen and Bob _____ What can we say
about this beautiful place that hasn’t already been said? We wish to thank the originals craftsmen and artisans
who built this home and current owners who renovated the place and added some modern touches. Everything is done with
such taste. This house is old and we hope that we can come back here to celebrate with the rest of Québec City in 2008; we
want to thank you Paul and Cindy for letting us build such wonderful memories spent at the large dining room table with my
Québec Family. This was a very special time we will cherish the great memories for a long time. Ed, thank you
for all and your warm welcome. Robert and Sylvie. _____ We will always enjoy our memories of the time that we spent at the Maison
Ursulines. You are truly surrounded by the presence of history here and old Quebec is at your doorstep. The suite is very
spacious and accommodative, and terrific for entertaining a small group of close friends or family Shopping and fine dining
can be found all around. We loved it. Chuck and Rachelle _____ The home, the location, the people were all wonderful. 38 Rue desJardins
is wonderful. We all loved going to hear the music at the festival. Our trip to ill de Orleans was perfect. Fresh strawberries,
fresh raspberries and chocolate. We look forward to our next trip to Québec. Harry, Libby Max and Dana |
